I know this would be unreasonable, but I was wondering if this would work. If you only had like a few total innings pitched, but your ERA and WHIP were really low, the lowest in the league, would you get first place and therefore the most points for that? Same thing I guess with batting AVE for hitters.

As Long as you meet the minimum innings pitched requirement (if there is one), you would win ERA and WHIP. Kind of funny b/c in a 4x4 Roto environment, you can go all hitting for all your top picks and get good setup men later on in the draft. Once you hit the MI pitched requirement, just bench everyone for the rest of the season and win the offensive stats. It isnt a great strategy, but it can be done.

Yes - Some leagues put Min IP or Max IP - Just check your settings.

Hm...I haven't ever seen min. innings requirments on Yahoo. That would eliminate the problem.

On Yahoo, only Head 2 Head leagues have a minimum IP requirement. It is to prevent teams from benching their staffs to win ERA and WHIP. Roto leagues usually only have IP limits, so you can't constantly use pitchers to rack up stats.
