I can understand another owner being upset that the league leader is about to acquire another fantasy stud who already has an MVP under his belt while giving up nothing. Future stars? It's possible, but right now today you lost absolutley nothing to gain an already established super star.

What I don't understand is how an owner would quit over a deal like this knowing full well deals like this are part of playing in keeper leagues- because this is the only reason it would be considered a fair deal, if it wasn't a keeper league it's an absolute vetoed trade.

You've got a sore loser in your league, he knows there is no chance of catching you with your powerhouse team.

Well obviously he wasnt a very good commish to begin with, so take the the league and run with it. What a douche bag.

I agree. Now you have an opportunity to make your league better. It might be a good idea to find someone with skills that compliment yours to share commish duties. This takes some of the load off of you and also spreads the "power" around so no one accuses you of running the league like the pantywaist who just quit tried to do.

Thanks for everything so far. After the vote and hearing what other owners said, the Morneau owner starting feeling bad about what happened, so instead of getting the deal done he made a new offer (I am not going to force the issue, now that I am taking over the league and want to keep things going).

Here is the new offer:

I deal Kershaw $6, LaRoche $4, Pence $5, and King Felix $12

I receive Morneau, Brandon Phillips $6, and Huston Street $10

My problem is that I really do not need Street, who is under contract for 2009 as well, but it gives me a nice trade chip for another deal as a couple owners need RPs. Phillips might be a cheaper upgrade over Weeks at 2B this year and beyond, and could even start over Young at MI now. It might also allow me to deal Weeks or Young.

But I was also trying to use King Felix to land me Brian McCann to replace Snyder at C.

Any thoughts?
