A Good Problem to Have....

NL only - Standard CBS H2H league:

After starting the year with a soft, underachieving staff I've managed to cobble together a decent staff through the waiver wire:

B. Webb
J. Smoltz
C. Capuano
B. Fuentes
M. Owings
J. Sosa
S, Marshall
A. Eaton
M. Capps
J. Johnson (DL)

My problem is...I picked up Capps, but am having some difficulty finding a spot for him. The weak link is easy to spot here - Eaton (Capuano of late). However, when two start pitchers begin to stack up I'm finding it hard to find a spot for him. This situation will be further complicated when Johnson comes off the DL. Any suggestions?

If you're going to drop a SP...it'd be Eaton. I'm not in any league where he's even on a team even though you're in an NL only league, i think you'll be safe there.

If you're in love with eaton for some reason you could always drop Owings.

This is an extremely deep (10 team) NL only league. Pitching is a premium commodity and the WW has been picked clean. Even Eaton has some merit in this league as a back of the rotation guy. Dropping a pitcher really isn't a consideration.

You are correct though...if I were to drop somebody Eaton is a no-brainer.

Anybody else?

Since pitching is such a commodity, can you pull a two-for-one trade? My league is VERY deep in pitching too and I can always throw a SP into a deal and upgrade a position on my team.

Yeah, If eaton is not going to be of much help to you, see if you can not package him with a position player to upgrade there.

Thanks for your replies all. I thought maybe I could find some fantastic juggling act to employ here, but I ended up with the same conclusion...gonna have to swing a trade.
